    Hey David,

Nice facts here about social media.

I can honestly say that lately I check Facebook at least every 3 hours lol. Shame on me.

But social media has become addictive to many of us. But one productive thing in this economy is that we can use it to help grow our home businesses.

Great infographic David! Have a good one!

    • Thanks, Sherman.
Yes, social media is addictive. I tend to dive in every few hours when I have a coffee break, but definitely don’t have it switched on while I’m writing – it can be a major time suck!

      Glad you liked the infographic!

  • Hi David,
I was surprised to see Snapchat having the most photo posts. Awesome infographic David.

    • Hi Lisa,
I don’t use Snapchat, but from what I’ve heard then users seem to post photos with a limited timespan; i.e. they disappear after so many minutes. Perhaps that’s why they have the highest number of photos.

      Glad you liked the infographic!

  • Such an informative post, David! I didn’t realize that so many use their social media channels to find morning news- that can’t be great in terms of our cognitive bias. Hopefully, Facebook will take that into account when determining which news we should see!

    • Hi Camilla,

I guess it’s a matter of convenience for some people to use social media for their daily news. But I agree with you that it is probably biased somewhat.

      Thanks for your feedback!

Really great post and infographic here. I’m constantly amazed at Pinterest’s growth. I missed the ball on that and showed up late and I need to keep up with the times more effectively.

    Have a great day.

  • Hi David,

Wow, this is interesting. I’m really surprised to see Twitter only influences 8% of buying decisions. Maybe I should focus less of my time promoting my offers and incentives on there me thinks huh?

I’m loving Instagram at the moment though, never even imagined using it would help create me some nice leads.

Keep up the great work buddy.

    • Hi Fabrizio,

Does Twitter work for you? If so, keep using it. What works for one person might not work for another.

How are you using Instagram to get your leads? Are you posting images of your blog posts or sharing tips? What’s the secret recipe? I’d love to hear how it works for you.
